Who am I?

I'm "A" and have degrees in mechanical engineering, production engineering, and economics, management & business. I love nature, animals, extreme cold, maths, science, and most things that are complicated. I love challenges and doing things I've never done before. This website, the first I've ever built, as it stands today is Version 1 and took me 17 days to build alone including all the calculators. Ich widme diese Seite meiner Eltern; Danke für alles!

Why did I build this website when other similar ones exist?

I built this website as a project to make the tools my friends and I use frequently, improve my programming skills, and see how fast I could build a website in the first attempt. I know that there are many good websites that also host many amazing calculators but some calculators were missing or not in the way I wanted. With this website, I'm certain that I offer the following additional impact all on one website:

Single source for the most important generic calculators and also more specific ones that others websites either don't have or only host in isolation
Simpler calculator style which is intuitive and easy to use
Easy, modern website navigation
Glossary with key terms explained in simple language
Simple games to practice mental maths
Continuous, frequent addition of newer, better features

How did this site even become an idea?

I used to use online calculators to calculate the future value of investments and would use my scientific one to calculate things like CAGR or NPV. I've also built many specific calculators and tools in Excel for my friends and myself for calculations which I couldn't do online or if available tools were a tedious to use or if the calculators required payment. I'm not at that point where I can convert my very complex Excel-based calculators into computer code, but I want to get there, so I decided to just build as many basic calculators as I could think of to practice the skills I need to make the more complex ones that I have offline but need online.
